About The Position

Campus Eye Group is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to assist doctors in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment. The role involves performing patient workups, conducting diagnostic tests, and ensuring efficient patient flow while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to ophthalmology.
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant or Technician preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Entry-level position, under 1 year of experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an ophthalmic or medical setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the doctor in providing high-level patient care by performing patient workups.
  • Obtain and document patient's medical history in the EMR system.
  • Conduct diagnostic testing including visual fields, OCTs, fundus photography, corneal topography, and more.
  • Maintain a clean exam and testing room environment.
  • Proactively communicate with patients and pharmacies.
  • Work with doctors and the practice manager to ensure efficient patient flow.
