A Duff Operator will operate equipment that produces products according to published schedules. You will ensure the quality of the products by enforcing FSSC 22000 (food safety), GMP (general manufacturing practices), quality policies, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Three to six months related experience and/or specific On the Job Training (OJT) under supervision.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of PLC control panels.
• Knowledge of Maintenance Work.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety, FSSC 22000, GMP rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to use scales and have general math skills in percentages, fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all company and department-specific quality, safety, FSSC 22000, and GMP policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and implement all phases of chocolate compound coating and oil-based center for production.
• Check the production schedule to determine the variety and quantity of goods to produce.
• Assure accuracy of products being manufactured according to weight and measure standards.
• Mix ingredients to formulate chocolates, coatings, or centers accurately.
• Prepare the product according to specified cooking temperatures.
• Operate and maintain equipment according to equipment standards, and company policy and procedures.
• Ensure and maintain a clean, sanitary work area by washing, scrubbing, scrapping, and other means of maintaining an environment free of hazards and contaminants.
• Perform changeovers such as dismantling, and cleaning according to SOPs and SSOPs.
• Unload tankers, collect samples and receive shipments into SAP.
• Track and check tank inventories daily.
