About The Position

The Operations Director at Friends of the Children - Stockton is a leadership role focused on establishing and growing the new Stockton location. This position is responsible for overseeing various operational functions including human resources, finance, information technology, and marketing, ensuring that the organization runs efficiently and effectively. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of operations experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with databases.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly organized and dependable with the ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize work and adapt to shifting demands.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with nonprofit organizations.
  • Basic knowledge of fundraising and events.
  • Experience working with children and families.

Responsibilities

  • Support human resources functions including developing processes and procedures, recruitment management, and employee onboarding.
  • Manage financial operations including processing expense reports, payroll, and coordinating with the National finance team.
  • Assist the Executive Director with grant preparation, maintaining organizational records, and coordinating meetings.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, directing them appropriately.
  • Maintain an organizational calendar, manage executive schedules, and take notes during meetings.
  • Coordinate IT support and manage office supplies and procedures.
  • Support development work including donation processing and special event logistics.
  • Assist the Program Team with event logistics and data collection.
