About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and Strategic Director of HR Operations to lead our HR Verification function in today's ever-changing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing Oracle's Verification program - to include background and employment verifications, US Government verifications, onsite healthcare requirements, I-9 verifications, US unemployment claims as well as verification support. They will be ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and providing strategic guidance to the HR team. The Director of HR Operations will play a critical role in protecting the organization's assets, reputation, and employees by ensuring that all new hires and existing employees adhere to our verification process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of HR professionals responsible for verifications, including recruitment, training, development, and performance management.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a strategic verification program that meets the organization's changing needs and complies with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission guidelines.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to the HR team on verification-related matters, including policy development, procedure implementation, and training.
  • Manage relationships with verification vendors, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Analyze verification data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop, maintain, and update policies and procedures related to verifications, including adverse action procedures and record-keeping requirements.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for HR staff, hiring managers, and recruiters on background verification policies, procedures, and best practices.
