About The Position

The Nurse Manager I for Labor and Delivery at Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth is responsible for overseeing the operations of the labor and delivery unit, ensuring quality patient care, managing human resources, and maintaining customer satisfaction. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
  • 3 years of experience as a registered nurse with previous leadership experience required.
  • RN - Registered Nurse license required upon hire.
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required prior to providing independent patient care.

  • Facilitate activities to meet credentialing bodies' requirements.
  • Evaluate throughput processes and develop solutions to barriers.
  • Plan and manage patient care processes to improve performance.
  • Facilitate delivery of quality patient care and ensure documentation meets standards.
  • Demonstrate a supportive role in the change process.
  • Manage staffing based on patient care needs and conduct personnel functions.
  • Promote professional growth and development of employees and support diversity and inclusion.
  • Incorporate customer needs into daily operations and promote team building strategies.
  • Prepare and manage operating and capital budgets effectively.
  • Demonstrate involvement in professional organizations and participate in committees.
  • Stay current with professional activities and address ethical and legal concerns.
