About The Position
10NT Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit is our designated Comprehensive Stroke Primary unit, as well as ORMC new established Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. We are a 32-bed unit that serves diagnoses such as stroke, seizure disorders, brain injury and tumors of the spine and brain. As the primary designated stroke unit, many of our nurses use this training to become Stroke Responders who facilitate care in the ED, inpatient settings and support community hospitals via telehealth platforms. As Neuro is an exciting field, there is plenty of clinical skill and professional growth opportunities. We are an ideal fit for those who are equally fascinated by the brain, or want to pursue Neuro Step-down, Neuro ICU, or the ED after obtaining a solid foundation. Administers patient care in an area in a hospital or inpatient/observation setting where an acute care patient receives active treatment for an injury, episode of illness, a medical condition, or post intervention with assessment.
