About The Position

The Network Engineer III - Viptela SD-WAN position at CBTS Technology Solutions LLC involves providing network administration and developing procedures for managing network operations within a managed hosting environment. The role focuses on implementing network designs that ensure performance, reliability, and scalability while monitoring network performance and capacity. The engineer will also be responsible for cross-training team members and proactively resolving network issues before they affect service.

Requirements

• 6 to 7 years of experience in network engineering.
• Experience with network analysis, management, and performance monitoring tools.
• Hands-on experience with HP Openview, Cisco Works, and Navis Access.
• Experience with troubleshooting tools such as ping, traceroute, and dig.
• Familiarity with security-related Internet information sources like BugTraq and CERT.
• Experience with TCP/IP platforms and dynamic routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP).
• 5+ years of general networking experience.
• 5+ years of SD-WAN design/configuration/troubleshooting experience.
• 1-2 years of network security experience (firewalling, IDS/IPS, URL Filtering preferred).
• 3-5 years of knowledge in Cisco/Viptela SD-WAN design and configuration.
• 3-5 years of knowledge of advanced BGP features and multicast routing.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with IPv6 and related protocols.
• Familiarity with consuming/producing REST APIs (specific to Viptela is a plus).
• Experience with Cisco VoIP solutions and VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP).
• Project Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement business solutions utilizing networking equipment.
• Write and maintain systems documentation and network diagrams.
• Lead team responsibilities and coordinate work among team members.
• Use network analysis and performance monitoring tools to diagnose problems.
• Conduct network capacity analysis, planning, and management.
