About The Position

The Music Production Assistant position is designed to support the Music Department at Bethel University in various events and daily functions. The assistant will play a crucial role in facilitating recruitment-related events, hosting, ushering, and managing logistics for music department activities. This role requires a commitment to hospitality and a willingness to serve in various capacities as needed.

Requirements

• Music experience preferred (instrumental, vocal/choral).
• Ability to work independently and be organized, detail-oriented, cheerful, flexible, and willing to follow instructions, both verbal and written.
• Availability to work late afternoons on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, in addition to performances.
• Physical capability to lift equipment up to 30lbs and push heavy equipment on castors (less than 200lb).

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment-related events such as auditions, recruitment events, scholarship days, and conferences.
• Serve in areas of hosting and ushering for music department rehearsals and performances.
• Assist with the distribution of sheet music for departmental ensembles.
• Assist with stage management for music concerts and productions.
• Interface with the music department regarding logistics and upcoming events.
