About The Position

The Mozzarella Supervisor at Miceli Dairy Products Company is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Mozzarella department. This role involves overseeing daily operations, maintaining adherence to quality and safety standards, and facilitating communication between departments to optimize performance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in business administration or dairy science preferred.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and evaluates information concerning daily operations and their impact on department performance.
• Ensures the department runs smoothly and efficiently, completing supervisor rounds as required.
• Works with all departments to ensure adherence to GMP, GSP, and QC policies and procedures, and proper maintenance of equipment.
• Suggests and debates alternative methods and procedures in problem-solving.
• Participates in the operating budget, goals, and objectives of the department, working towards meeting or exceeding expectations.
• Monitors employee attendance and ensures sufficient personnel, including temporary hours.
• Completes all required records and charting.
• Meets regularly with shift supervisors and sanitation manager to stay informed about departmental issues.
• Performs administrative managerial duties accurately and professionally.
• Actively works on the production floor to facilitate data exchange between departments.
• Maintains open communication with all employees, including department managers.
• Implements special projects and procedures as directed.
