About The Position

The Managed Long-Term Care (MLTC) Sales Representative II provides access to MLTC and MAP insurance, by providing education and assistance to long-term care recipients. The MLTC Sales Representative II provides education on Managed Long-Term Care and Medicaid Advantage Plus features and benefits to consumers, providers, and business partners.

Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years of Sales and Customer Relations experience required.
  • Managed Long-Term Care (MLTC) and Medicaid Advantage Plus (MAP) experience required.
  • New York State Life, Accident and Health Insurance Agent License required.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License is a plus.

  • College Degree or coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Educate and enroll Medicaid and Medicare/Medicaid dual eligibles for the MetroPlusHealth Managed Long-Term Care (MLTC) and Medicaid Advantage Plus (MAP) products.
  • Identify eligible Medicaid and dual-eligible Medicare/Medicaid consumers via Home Care Agencies, Adult Day Care Centers, DME Provider offices, Caregiver Resources Centers, specialty provider offices, HHC Long-Term Care Facilities, etc.
  • Understand and apply all policies and procedures pertaining to disclosures and provisions of the various MetroPlusHealth Plan products.
  • Remain knowledgeable of services available and utilized by Medicaid and dual-eligible Medicare/Medicaid consumers eligible for MLTC and MAP.
  • Responsible for understanding the basic concepts, features, benefits of MetroPlusHealth MLTC and MAP products.
  • Provide education on Managed Long-Term Care and Medicaid Advantage Plus features and benefits to consumers, providers, and business partners.
  • Assist the consumer with selecting a PCP and completing required marketing materials and documentation.
  • Follow up on leads and referrals from family members and caregivers of consumers eligible for enrollment.
  • Conduct presentations to Home Care Agencies, support groups, caregiver trainings, etc.
  • Ensure that promotional activities are conducted to promote the MetroPlusHealth MLTC and MAP product.
  • Work closely with various MetroPlusHealth personnel to resolve member concerns regarding complaints and potential enrollment or disenrollment.
  • Establish and sustain beneficial relationships with Home Care Providers, Caregivers, and other providers.
  • Recognize and implement new marketing opportunities.
  • Assist members in accessing health care needs and other services as needed.
  • Conduct telemarketing/outreach efforts as required.
