About The Position

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented mid-level MQ Administrator to join our team in Ashburn, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career.

Requirements

• BS Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc) with 5+ years of technical experience.
• Strong foundation of MQ knowledge.
• Expert knowledge of IBM MQ on distributed platforms.
• Skills in diagnosing issues related to IBM MQ queue managers.
• Strong background with Apache ActiveMQ.
• Good knowledge of UNIX operating system and scripting languages (bash/korn shell, expect).
• Knowledge of Java and JMS and REST interface is preferred.

Responsibilities

• IBM MQ queue manager administration, trouble shooting, configuration and on call support as needed.
• Installation, configuration, and administration of IBM MQ queue managers on distributed platform.
• Provide on call support as needed to diagnose and rectify issue related to queue managers.
• Clearly document requirements, design, and operation procedures for queue managers.
• Experience with ActiveMQ Classic/Artemis with administration, trouble shooting, configuration etc. (A Plus)
