About The Position

Michael's House Treatment Center is now hiring for the positions of Dual Certified PMHNP/FNP and Physician Assistant, including a Weekend PMHNP role. Located in Palm Springs, California, Michael's House has been serving patients and their families since 1989, providing comprehensive integrated treatment for addiction and mental health conditions. The facility, which has 120 beds, is recognized nationally for its integrated treatment approach for drug and alcohol addiction and co-occurring mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, and personality disorders. The center features a modern, restorative environment with four campuses, ensuring safety and privacy for patients seeking healing and recovery.

Requirements

• An Active California Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, in good standing or ability to obtain
• Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner AND Family Nurse Practitioner education training program
• Ability to prescribe controlled substances and a current DEA license in California

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and prescribing/maintaining Suboxone tapers
• Prior experience with addiction, dual-diagnosis, integrated care model, and/or psychiatry

Responsibilities

• Work in residential and outpatient settings

• Minimal call rotation
• Conduct assessments and follow-ups
• Perform history and physicals
• Develop customized care plans
