About The Position

The Medical Records HIM Clerk at Haven Behavioral Hospital of Albuquerque is responsible for managing health information through coding, data classification, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of patient records while providing support in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Requirements

• High School Diploma; AA preferred.
• Coding Certificate and AHIMA OR AAPC Required; CCS, CCA, CPC, RHIT, RHIA preferred or test eligible preferred.
• Experience in inpatient record management in an acute care hospital setting; acute inpatient psychiatric setting preferred.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Code and classify data sets.
• Collect and assemble records/data into the prescribed format.
