About The Position

Requirements

• Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry.
• Passed the National Board Dental Examinations (NBDE).
• For GS-12 level, one or more years of experience performing professional dentistry work.
• Completion of a 2-year residency program in dentistry, oral health, craniofacial sciences, or related medical science for GS-12 level.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in managing complex dental health cases.
• Completion of additional training or certifications in specialized dental fields.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of professional dental duties requiring standard corrective, restorative, or preventive measures.
• Diagnose and administer treatment for dental diseases and dental health problems of greater-than-usual difficulty.
• Manage dental health cases presenting patient-behavior and communication problems.
• Evaluate, prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases, injuries, and disorders of the oral cavity and maxillofacial area.
