About The Position

The Material Manager at Fincantieri Marinette Marine is a key role responsible for overseeing project management and financial planning within a progressive shipyard that builds ships for the United States Navy. This position requires substantial experience in program management, finance, and analytical roles, focusing on the execution of fixed price and cost-plus projects. The Material Manager will ensure effective planning, risk management, and compliance with contractual obligations while maintaining communication with various stakeholders.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in program management, finance, or analytical roles.
• Ability to manage risks and contractual matters effectively.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Experience in supplier management and reporting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with ISO procedures and compliance management.
• Familiarity with Navy contracts and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee smaller fixed price projects and mid-sized cost-plus projects.
• Prepare and maintain management control processes and reporting for complex systems and programs.
• Support intercompany outsourcing and risk management activities.
• Manage pre-production and change management processes.
• Track and manage submissions from various departments to ensure compliance with contracts.
• Develop and maintain useful metrics for project progress and reporting.
• Communicate effectively with peer managers and stakeholders, including the Navy and Lockheed Martin.
