About The Position

The Material Handling Tech position at Ventura Foods involves managing the movement of raw materials within a warehouse environment, ensuring accurate inventory management and order fulfillment. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a production or warehouse/distribution environment.
• Ability to pass skills test & written test for forklift certification.
• Excellent math skills and computer literacy, preferably with RF Smart experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Physically pull raw materials from various warehouse locations based on quantity and product while entering each transaction into the RF system.
• Utilize RF scanning system for material movements in the warehouse and production areas, updating inventory with correct quantities and weights.
• Perform basic math calculations for counting materials and ensure correct weights are picked for each order using the metric system.
• Shrink wrap materials to pallets for processing and ensure correct tags are scanned for each item picked for production.
• Report shortages of materials for re-ordering to meet customer order deadlines.
• Perform other general duties as needed.
