About The Position

We are seeking a Production Planner to join a leading aerospace manufacturing company in Winsted, CT. This role is responsible for developing and managing production schedules to ensure smooth operations, on-time delivery, and efficient use of plant capacity. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in production planning, and the ability to collaborate across departments to optimize workflow.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred, associate degree with additional experience at a minimum
• Five (5) or more years of experience in manufacturing Production Planning, Master Planning, Master Scheduler experience
• APICS certification preferred (Supply Chain Management certification)
• Strong MS Excel skills required
• Experience with Oracle is a plus
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire; visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Responsibilities

• Develop production schedules that align with manufacturing requirements and customer demand
• Communicate daily with Production Leaders to ensure smooth product flow
• Monitor casting availability, internal/external processes, and product quality, escalating issues as needed
• Maintain inventory accuracy within the Manufacturing System
• Coordinate with Sales, Casting Plants, and Shipping to meet delivery commitments and customer expectations
• Interface with the Shipping Department to ensure on-time delivery
• Maintain documentation of inventory levels at each stage of production
• Develop production forecasts to support business and financial objectives
• Process purchase orders and requisitions following company procedures
• Conduct physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy
