About The Position

Marketing & Communications Interns assist the Marketing and Communications team in various initiatives aimed at enhancing our brand presence and engagement. Support the development of external communications materials including advertising, press releases, social media marketing efforts, etc. Contribute to high marketing campaigns that further the company's strategic goals. Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels. Actively participate in marketing brainstorming sessions by contributing creative input and ideas. Support development of content for Austal USA's website redesign. Photograph key onsite events. Upload to and maintain Vimeo digital video account and Flickr digital imagery account. Assist with the logistical planning and coordination related to VIP and other visit/tour requests. Interact directly with key vendors and marketing/communications consultants. Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Junior or Senior year student currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Maintaining a minimum 3.0 overall GPA.
• Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency with social media platforms.
• Familiarity with design tools (Canva, etc.) is a plus.
• Demonstrated project and time management skills.
• Strong communication, research, and analytic skills.
• Self-motivated to learn and succeed.
• Organized, energetic, and familiar with today's technology.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with design tools (Canva, etc.) is a plus.
