About The Position

Westwood Holdings Group has an exciting opportunity for a college student looking to develop their human resources knowledge and experience in a fast-paced, corporate environment that offers you a chance to learn and develop key HR skills while contributing to a positive company culture. The intern will assist the Human Capital Department with a wide variety of human resource projects related to compliance, data and analytics, diversity and inclusion, employee communication, HRIS, recruiting, talent management, training and development, benefits and compensation. This role is in-person and is located in our Dallas office. The hours are part-time with an opportunity to go full-time during the summer.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a 4-year degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Enrolled as either a Sophomore, Junior or Senior with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
  • Superior interpersonal, organizational and client service skills with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette with a client focus.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Mature, polished and professional presence and disposition.
  • Positive attitude with a friendly and upbeat demeanor.
  • Highly motivated and proactive with a willingness to assist in all tasks.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a small team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability/experience in Wordpress, email publishing tools and/or social media platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with members of the Brand, Digital and Communications team to support Westwood's brand.
  • Plan, produce, manage and execute on campaign deliverables across a variety of vehicles.
  • Drive the communications strategy and content planning, draft communications and publish content.
  • Focus on project management, developing communications, publication and content (re)marketing.
  • Help emphasize the firm's investment expertise while building the corporate brand through public relations work, communications and thought leadership.
  • Support the development, compliance review and distribution of complex marketing materials, including the Annual Report, investor relations materials, newsletters, announcements, press releases, publications, slide presentations, product launches, etc.
  • Ensure that content is accurately reflected in digital marketing efforts including the corporate website, social media and other digital properties.
  • Document marketing analytics and measurement.
  • Support automation efforts to streamline and measure marketing effectiveness.
  • Support other projects and assignments as needed for the Human Capital department.
