About The Position

Meta is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Quality Engineer (MQE) to join our Data Center Engineering & Construction (DEC) Quality team. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly growing infrastructure efficiently operates, and our innovative services are delivered. This role is responsible for the generation, implementation, and management of a Manufacturing focused Meta Quality Program, by establishing a Quality Program that is focused on people, processes and accountability through influential vendor management and effective partnerships with site-based stakeholders (General Contractor Teams, Vendor Teams, Trade Partners, and Infra-Data Center Teams). Through leadership and partnerships, the Manufacturing Quality Manager will utilize our program core competencies to drive vendor improvement objectives and issue mitigation strategies to ensure day one readiness, predictable on-time delivery, and operational reliability of our global campuses.

Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience of Quality Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Improvement, Process Management or Data Center Engineering/Operations.
  • Bachelor's in engineering or construction management or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in utilizing analysis, problem-solving, and associated quality tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in directly and indirectly managing output of complex projects, programs, suppliers, or internal teams.
  • Experience sharing information and influencing (communication skills, liaising cross functionally both internally and externally).

Nice To Haves

  • Certified ASQ quality manager or quality engineer or auditor.
  • Extensive experience in supplier performance management.
  • Technical knowledge of data centers and critical electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Industrial engineering experience.
  • Experience utilizing Autodesk BIM360 Field and/or ACC Build software.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Equivalent Certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct vendor audits, evaluate onsite trend data reflective of vendor performance, and establish strategic vendor improvement objectives.
  • Develop/monitor quality program metrics to evaluate vendor manufacturing & project performance.
  • Contribute to building high performing teams by mentoring and developing offsite Vendor teams.
  • Establish effective processes and standards to enable efficient scope execution and effective cross-functional communications.
  • Provide leadership to offsite vendor and onsite OFE management and quality teams.
  • Provide direction and feedback to vendor staff, general contractor staff and trade partners on the OFCI Management and Quality program.
  • Provide onboarding and continuous training of Vendor personnel to ensure awareness of quality procedures.
  • Coordinate quality issues and schedule dynamics between the Meta design, ISCE, construction, and facility operations teams.
  • Audit Quality activities of vendor and project team staff to assess conformance with manufacturing expectations.
  • Recommend and verify effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions for Vendor Audit and Execution non-conformances.
  • Partner with Vendor teams and Project Teams in review of Energization, Start-up, and Commissioning schedules.
  • Help drive the closure of open issues and escalate any outstanding open items.
  • Assist in confirming that testing documentation is properly completed and retained.
  • Attend required Construction Meetings such as project and global Quality meetings.
  • Remain informed of operational equipment deficiencies and program manage systemic vendor RCA and mitigation strategies.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed (anticipated 40-60%).
