About The Position

The Manufacturing Process Engineer is an entry-level position focused on providing technical assistance and engineering support to the manufacturing group at MCM Composites, LLC. The role involves improving existing processes, developing new manufacturing concepts, and training production operators while engaging with maintenance personnel to resolve various manufacturing issues. The engineer will support specific areas such as molding, assembly, and quality control, ensuring timely product delivery while meeting cost and quality expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as molding and assembly.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Knowledge of FMEA and PFD processes.
• Familiarity with project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and engineering support to the manufacturing group.
• Improve existing processes and develop new cost-effective manufacturing concepts.
• Lead scrap reduction teams through lean methodologies.
• Participate in value improvement projects.
• Train production operators and mentor process technicians.
• Engage maintenance personnel in resolving process, material, mold, tooling, and equipment problems.
• Support flawless launch activities through participation in FMEA, PFD, and design reviews.
• Execute validation and qualification protocols for new products and processes.
• Document lessons learned and report project status in a timely manner.
• Generate, update, and implement process documentation including work instructions and troubleshooting guides.
• Close assigned CAPA's in a timely manner.
• Utilize project management tools to establish timelines and complete milestones.
