About the position
The job overview for this position is that the Manufacturing Operations Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Data Engineering & Analytics team in understanding and utilizing the data warehouse and reporting tools. They will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, create implementation plans, and develop dashboards and reports to monitor progress and answer business questions. The role requires a combination of business analyst and technical skills, as well as the ability to work with remote teams and individuals with strong opinions.

Requirements
- Proven experience working with large and complex datasets
- Comfortable writing queries directly or utilizing BI tools
- Working knowledge of data and analytics architecture, data warehousing concepts, and data integration best practices
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to provide feedback on results and identify opportunities for improvement and potential areas of risk
- Extensive knowledge of BI concepts and database query languages (i.e. SQL or Python), dimensional modeling, data warehouse design, dashboarding
- Ability to build and optimize datasets, reports, and dashboards
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions
- Excellent analytic skills associated with working with structured and unstructured datasets
- Ability to build processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency and metadata
- Clear communicator, able to provide business context for engineers and highlight technical challenges for non-engineers
- Ability to present to groups of mixed technical ability
- Resourceful and able to resolve issues, willing to learn and understand new ways of doing things
- Ability to recommend actionable insights from projects and lead projects autonomously
- Ability to drive standards and best practices for a team or organization
- Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, ability to lead large projects autonomously
