About The Position

The Manager of Internal Logistics is responsible for managing company-wide material flow, distribution, warehouse logistics processes, and strategies across the business. This role involves developing and rolling out a general logistics strategy to the business and supporting regional distribution centers and plants to optimize operational performance, particularly in delivery, inventory, and material flow.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in supply chain management, with concentration in material flow, distribution, and warehousing.
  • 3 years' experience supervising others.
  • Experience with automation systems and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), including deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
  • Understanding of Warehouse Management processes and internal logistics.
  • Cycle Counting, Radio Frequency (RF), Receiving, Material Staging, and Warehousing.
  • APICS certification, or other comparable professional supply chain logistics designation preferred.
  • Lean Logistics methods and project implementation experience.
  • Experience with Systematic Layout Planning.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Green Belt certification preferred.
  • APICS or other equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Lean Leads for proper development and execution of Logistic Strategy.
  • Improve Logistics processes, reduce waste, increase productivity, and optimize flow.
  • Own all Logistics key performance indicators and create a plan for every part strategy.
  • Support packaging solutions and standards that cost-effectively support the safe movement of material throughout the distribution network.
  • Provide leadership to the plants and support those executing the overall Logistics strategy.
  • Research and propose new technology for Logistics.
