About The Position

The Data Science Manager at Providence's Digital Innovation Group (DIG) will lead a team focused on enhancing patient care through data analytics. This role involves applying statistical modeling, machine learning, and predictive analytics to improve health outcomes and the performance of healthcare products. The manager will oversee the development of models that inform product strategies and contribute to the commercialization of innovative healthcare solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• 6 years of experience in data analysis, advanced statistical analysis, and predictive analytics.
• 4 years of leadership experience in a relevant field.

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of experience in the healthcare field.
• 1 year of project management experience.
• Certifications in data science or project management (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional, Certified Data Management Professional).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data scientists to analyze patient digital journeys and product impacts.
• Develop churn, retention, and lifetime value models for the Providence App.
• Create next best action recommendation models to personalize patient content.
• Collaborate with analytics and product leaders to align data science projects with strategic priorities.
• Define the team's roadmap and establish effective processes for project management.
