About The Position

The Manager, Academic Support at Walden University plays a crucial role in enhancing the student and faculty/staff experience through the planning and execution of various engagement events. This position involves collaboration with university leadership and academic support staff to develop strategies that foster a sense of belonging and support the university's strategic goals. The Manager will oversee event logistics, manage communications, and ensure adherence to university policies while also analyzing event performance data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Proven experience in planning and executing digital and in-person events
  • Demonstrated success in event and/or project management
  • Knowledge of industry tools like Certain, On24, Zoom, Teams, Excel, and other Microsoft platforms
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage time and handle multiple priorities
  • Willingness to mentor and lead teams
  • Excellent leadership, organization, collaboration, and human relation skills

Responsibilities

  • Plans and organizes event logistics and communications for group travel to academic events in the United States.
  • Develops event budgets and partners with Adtalem Events to schedule and service contracts.
  • Collaborates with university leadership and stakeholders to plan event logistics.
  • Organizes, plans, and delivers engaging virtual synchronous and asynchronous events.
  • Manages event builds in various platforms and oversees event marketing and communications.
  • Reviews and administers procedures and policies related to strategic plans for unique student experiences.
  • Monitors adherence to university policies and seeks to improve operations.
  • Gathers and analyzes data on event performance for dashboards and reports.
  • Supervises colleagues within the Academic Affairs Team.
  • Travels to support university academic events and accommodates evening and weekend schedules.
