About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all aspects of building maintenance using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). This role involves working closely with junior technicians and supporting the Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Coordinator. The technician will lead the installation, relocation, and troubleshooting of production equipment and machine tools, while also managing electrical wiring, pneumatics, and PLCs. The position requires a proactive approach to preventive and unscheduled maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Certified Electrician or strong background in electrical circuits.
  • High school graduate or equivalent with 3+ years of maintenance experience in electronics, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
  • Vocational school specializing in machine tool repair or 3+ years as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and effective communication in English.
  • Awareness of applicable State/Federal Laws and Regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CNC machine tools and production equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety policies and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all aspects of building maintenance using CMMS and TPM.
  • Run new electrical circuits to meet equipment requirements and compliance.
  • Facilitate scheduled and unscheduled repairs, procure parts, and manage overall maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot electronic circuits and PLCs using schematics and OEM manuals.
  • Inspect alignment and make necessary mechanical adjustments to equipment.
  • Dismantle machines or equipment for repairs or preventive maintenance.
  • Communicate with internal and external technical support.
  • Assist in creating new preventive maintenance procedures and policies.
  • Review and perform work orders, coordinating with outside vendor services.
  • Maintain emergency lighting, fire pump systems, alarms, and eyewash stations.
