About The Position
This position is a dual role that is responsible for the effective execution of all maintenance work control processes by managing work priority, developing job plans, defining parts, materials, crafts and skills. Assigns work control plans to appropriate Supervisors for execution by the hourly maintenance staff. Provides equipment-related expertise; technical guidance on improving maintenance activities and may supervise both hourly Smithfield employees and contractors as required. This position is the owner / manager of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) at the plant level. The position is also responsible for the administration of the facility Process Safety Management regulation to meet the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.119 as well as maintaining/updating the documentation supporting the facility implementation of the fourteen (14) elements of the Process Safety Management program.
