About The Position

The Machine Operator position is responsible for performing basic machinist duties under supervision. The role involves working with mills and lathes, operating complex machines, and performing preventive maintenance of machines. The operator ensures that the product meets exacting specifications and standards.

Requirements

• Some experience in metal works preferred.
• Knowledge of principles and methods for Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) aided milling and grinding.

Responsibilities

• Load and run quality approved parts.
• Check all dimensions and visual aspects of parts as instructed.
• Maintain an organized work area.
• Follow directions accurately and consistently.
• Perform machinist work involving fabrication of specialized parts.
• Maintain strict tolerance requirements in the manufacture of parts.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on devices and systems.
• Record machine data for reporting and record-keeping purposes.
• Contact supervisory personnel when raw product, events or finished products are not conforming to required standards.
• Prepare documents as required to perform inventory or audit.
• Compute amounts of workload capacity and running time.
• Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
• Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Track and upload appropriate data into MRP program.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory or management personnel.
