About The Position

Vaco is hiring a Logistics Account Executive in Jacksonville, FL. This role is ideal for individuals with freight brokerage, logistics sales, or 3PL experience who want to work independently while leveraging corporate support.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in freight brokerage, logistics sales, or 3PL operations.
• Strong understanding of FTL, LTL, and intermodal freight.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and business growth.
• Familiarity with TMS systems and load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.).
• Self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced, commission-based environment.

Nice To Haves

• An established book of business is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business relationships with shippers and customers.
• Manage the full shipment lifecycle: quoting, booking, tracking, and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Negotiate carrier rates to maximize profitability and maintain competitive pricing.
• Build and maintain strong carrier relationships to ensure capacity and reliability.
• Provide top-tier customer service, addressing concerns and resolving shipment issues efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Track and report on shipment status, financial performance, and key metrics.
