About The Position

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the order fulfillment process during the 2nd shift at Metro Supply Chain Holdings. This role involves coordinating the allocation of orders, monitoring inbound and outbound freight, and ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. The coordinator works closely with management to meet customer delivery commitments while maintaining a focus on accuracy and quality in the warehouse operations.

Requirements

• Three years of warehouse experience, preferably with team lead experience.
• Previous experience with Warehouse Management Information System (WMS), preferably Red Prairie.
• Strong attention to detail and prioritization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to make sound independent decisions and solve problems effectively.
• Intermediate knowledge of WMS systems and basic knowledge of Excel.

Nice To Haves

• College diploma in Logistics Management is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate order allocation, replenishment, and the flow of inbound and outbound freight.
• Work closely with management to understand volume and resource scheduling plans for orders.
• Ensure customer orders are released to operations as per management's work plan.
• Plan and ensure value-added services are completed before final staging.
• Investigate short allocations and communicate progress to management.
• Monitor the WMS work queue to ensure timely completion of tasks and report delays.
• Schedule and prioritize tasks for customer rush orders.
• Use Outbound Order Progress Display to monitor order progress.
• Plan work allocation for the next shift considering resource constraints.
• Identify and report interruptions or errors to improve workflow.
• Assign work to MHE Operators and monitor task progress for inbound and outbound freight.
• Prepare all inbound and outbound transport carrier paperwork and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Maintain CHEP inventory and monitor trailer movements in the yard.
