Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must successfully pass a background investigation.
• Selective service registration is required for males born after 12/31/59.
• High school graduate or possess a GED is required.
• Minimum age of eighteen years is required.
• Experience applying engineering or construction principles to evaluate proposed building or infrastructure projects.
• Experience conducting technical research to produce hazard or risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an advisor on Hazard Mitigation Insurance issues.
• Provide technical assistance on Risk Assessments and GIS products.
• Assist stakeholders in defining GIS product requests.
• Conduct mitigation program delivery based research and prepare technical briefings to present findings.
• Evaluate technical reports and GIS products to assess vulnerability and risks.
