About The Position

The Loan Documentation Specialist at American AgCredit is responsible for managing the document preparation process for various types of loans, including mortgage and commercial loans. This role involves reviewing and drafting loan documents, ensuring compliance with policies, and expediting processing within a centralized loan documentation department. The position requires independent decision-making and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure accuracy and efficiency in loan documentation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with at least two years of post-high school education.
  • Experience in loan documentation and processing.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of agricultural lending practices.
  • Familiarity with legal documentation related to loans.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze loan packages to prepare loan documentation for moderately complex loans with general direction for more complex loans.
  • Manage loan preparation for servicing actions, including assumptions, partial releases, and modifications of loan covenants.
  • Examine loan transactions to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all loan controls and closing conditions are reflected in final loan documents.
  • Review trust certifications and entity documentation to determine authority of signers.
  • Analyze appraisal reports to determine collateral value and necessary security documentation.
  • Examine personal and real property searches to confirm lien position meets requirements.
  • Draft escrow instructions for real property secured transactions.
  • Compose and prepare correspondence and edit loan-related documents.
  • Answer inquiries and provide information to branch personnel.
