About The Position

The Licensed Social Worker in the School Based Clinic (SBHC) at Mountain Lakes Medical Center is responsible for providing mental health services to students, staff, and their families. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapy while ensuring comprehensive support through collaboration with school staff and external providers. The position requires supervision by a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and focuses on addressing a range of mental health needs in a school environment.

Requirements

• Have successfully completed and graduated with a Master's degree in Social Work.
• Must hold an active LCSWA license in Georgia or be able to obtain LCSWA within 45 days of employment offer.
• Experience working with both adults and children required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of employment.

• Experience working with school systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy to students and staff, addressing a range of mental health needs.
• Conduct initial assessments, develop treatment plans, and document patient progress.
• Coordinate care with school staff and external providers to ensure comprehensive support for students.
• Engage parents and guardians in collaborative care planning and provide regular updates.
• Assist in crisis intervention and support school staff during mental health emergencies.
