About The Position

Ashley Regional Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Medical Surgical department. This part-time position requires working days from 6 AM to 6 PM. The facility is a 39-bed Joint Commission Accredited center, recognized as a Level IV Trauma Center and a Stroke Receiving Facility by the Utah State Department of Health. The LPN will work under the direction of an RN, contributing to patient assessments, performing care interventions, and assisting with daily living activities. The role emphasizes patient advocacy and requires effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Requirements

• Current Utah or compact state Licensed Practical Nurse license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must obtain within 6 months)

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Perform plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
• Administer medication as required.
• Document patient care given and assist RN with the development of the plan of care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
