About The Position

The University of Hawai'i is seeking part-time lecturers for the Academic Year 2025-2026 to teach courses in Information Technology (IT) and Information and Computer Science (ICS). The position is contingent upon the availability of funds and actual staffing requirements. Courses may be taught during the day, evening, weekend, or online. The salary is set at a minimum of $1,911 per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, ICS, or a related field.
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in Information Technology (IT) and Information and Computer Science (ICS).
• Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
• Prepare course syllabi and reports related to teaching and student progress.
• Work under supervision of division chair in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in discipline area.
• As needed, work with multi-media presentation, distance education instruction, and teaching at off-campus sites.
