About The Position

The position is responsible for delivering, assessing, and enhancing training programs and workshops for employees across all levels of the organization. This role involves planning and leading interactive workshops, both in-person and online, and ensuring that training materials are tailored to the delivery medium. The individual will also assist in designing new training programs and enhancing existing ones, while monitoring the effectiveness of these programs through assessment tools.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • 1+ year experience using virtual software such as GoToMeeting, WebEx, Zoom, Google Classroom, or other related tools, required.
  • 1+ year experience in retail banking and/or financial services, required.
  • Bachelor's degree in an educational field, such as adult education or curriculum and design, or a banking-related field, such as business or sales, preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of banking or finance within the scope of a learning specialist.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact with subject matter experts (SMEs) and other learning professionals to translate practice into training materials and teaching-and-learning experiences.

  • Ability to work without close supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and leads interactive workshops conducted through face-to-face and online mediums.
  • Assists with new training program design and existing program enhancement, including developing and revising lesson plans and training aids.
  • Helps research and develop learning assessment tools and uses those tools to monitor the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Administers, implements, and troubleshoots learning technology, including developing training materials related to set up and use of computer applications and related technologies.
  • Interacts with other members of the Learning and Development team and the Bank to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of training materials.
  • Escalates problems or issues identified to senior team members.
  • Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.
  • Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.
