Lead Software QA Engineer (DST Technologies Inc., Kansas City, MO): Specific responsibilities include: Ensuring that information systems products meet end-user functional and design requirements through the execution of software quality tests. Executing integration, performance, regression, and/or acceptance testing. Performing risk assessments, determines testing plans, analyzes test results, and retests software corrections to ensure appropriate corrective action is taken to maintain quality standards. Developing and supporting the test automation environment for executing software quality tests. Working closely with information technology teams in the planning, design, maintenance, implementation, and accessibility of physical and virtual automation frameworks or infrastructure for testing activities. Leading medium to large projects or working on complex or high-profile issues that require a broad perspective, conceptual thinking, and in-depth analysis to identify solutions. Leading a process or function without direct reports. Developing policies and procedures, and recommends best practices. Advising and providing direction to more junior professionals. Developing and maintaining test automation frameworks using the latest tools and technologies in the market for web services, web-based, window-based, and mainframe-based applications. Training all QA's in the organization on the latest test automation frameworks and tools. Telecommuting permitted.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Programming, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Demonstrates a depth and breadth of expertise within a discipline.
  • Ability to mentor junior Quality Associates.
  • Ability to collaborate directly with clients on specific projects.
  • Proven ability at creative problem solving to drive efficiencies in quality processes.
  • Demonstrate ability to use Automation Tools such as Selenium, WinApp, Gherkin / Cucumber, Jira / X-Ray, Postman, Rest assured, Unified Functional Test (UFT), Java Scripting, GitHub, Serenity.
  • Demonstrate strong Quality Assurance Principles using Test Strategy / Test Planning, Defects, Quality Metrics, Manual Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing.
