About the position
Solaris, a tech company with a full German banking license, is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their Group Pricing, Planning and Controlling team. In this role, you will gain detailed insights into the bank's performance and contribute to its overall success by providing relevant insights to stakeholders. Your main responsibilities will include creating financial models, tracking KPIs, and controlling the revenue and expense budget. Additionally, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to provide detailed insights on company performance and guide management decisions. A degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field, along with relevant work experience and strong financial modeling skills, are required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Support the team in their daily operations, such as creating financial models for business decisions, contributing to the identification and tracking of KPIs, and controlling the revenue and expense budget.
- Collaborate closely with different stakeholders within the organization to provide detailed insights on company performance and give guidance on management decisions.
- Understand Solaris' full product suite, including all revenue drivers and their respective impact on business performance.
- Build business cases and show deal profitability in a synchronized format to enable management to drive decisions based on deal economics and profitability.
- Support the budget planning process for Solaris Group.
- Analyze business performance and assist senior management in making tactical and strategic decisions.
- Work closely with the Finance team to ensure accuracy of accounting output with management reporting.
- Conduct strategic projects within the Pricing, Planning, and Controlling team.
Requirements
- University degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Business Administration or a related field. Master’s degree in these fields will be highly valued.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in other financial institutions or fintechs. Internship in investment banking, private equity/venture capital or management consulting will be highly valued.
- Financial modeling skills required as well as comprehensive experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Entrepreneurial hands-on and can-do mentality with exceptional analytical expertise and the greatest attention to detail.
- Strong team player and an effective communicator, who can operate in a diverse team, cross-functionally, takes ownership and demonstrates self-initiative.
- Professional fluency in English in both speaking and writing.
