About The Position

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician in Lake Norden, South Dakota. Perform chemistry and/or physical sample preparation and testing. Analyze and report laboratory data, verifying interpretation with more senior Technicians or leadership. Responsible for equipment operation, calibration, cleaning and minor maintenance. 3-2-2-3 schedule Rotating position between days and nights: 6am-6pm, and 6pm-6am Holiday pay and Double time on Sundays $1.50/hour shift differential between the hours of 6:00 pm - 6:00 am.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree or some coursework in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with both metric and standard systems of measurement required.
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and field-specific software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, establish priorities, ability to multitask, and meet deadlines.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with colleagues.
