About The Position
The Laboratory Technician will perform specialized and routine standardized chemical and biological laboratory examinations and procedures, supporting the effective operation and maintenance of the Treasure Valley Anatomy & Physiology Laboratories. This includes coordinating schedules and providing guidance to laboratory assistants, student employees, and volunteers; operating and maintaining laboratory equipment; and ensuring the safe handling and disposal of chemicals and bio-hazardous materials in compliance with university policies and regulatory standards. The position also involves distributing, tracking, and assisting with the procurement of laboratory supplies; preparing for gross and virtual anatomy lab sessions; and supporting the care, preparation, and maintenance of anatomical donor specimens. Additional responsibilities include responding to general inquiries about lab procedures, supporting bioskills events and professional education sessions, and working independently on assigned laboratory projects.
