About the position
We are Too Good To Go, a certified B-corp with a mission to inspire and empower everyone to take action against food waste. We are looking for an exceptional Key Account Manager to join our team in Belgium. The primary responsibility of this role is to strengthen and build new and existing relationships with important key accounts in the food service sector, focusing specifically on fast food, catering, restaurants, and canteens. The Key Account Manager will work with stakeholders, building trust and rapport with them, while looking for opportunities to expand our commercial partnership, maximize our presence in their estate, and get their business more involved in the food waste movement. The ideal candidate should have solid commercial experience working in the food sector, account management experience, and the ability to lead negotiations skillfully.
Responsibilities
- Strengthen and build new and existing relationships with important key accounts in the food service sector
- Work with stakeholders to build trust and rapport, while looking for opportunities to expand commercial partnership and maximize presence in their estate
- Collaborate with other Key Accounts team members, as well as colleagues across marketing and independent sales
- Research and independently search for new opportunities, learn about the business in depth, and understand decision-making processes
- Visit stores and get to know pain points and operations to include in the pitch and value proposition
- Convince HQ’s and stores to integrate Too Good To Go in their processes and build and suggest strong commercial offers
- Work closely with Account Growth to ensure the relationship is strong and business KPIs are met, and develop strategies to grow and optimize accounts
- Contribute to the Key Account strategy and support international cooperation across global key chain opportunities
- Build reports to track performance and identify trends, create financial projections and forecasts for internal planning and commercial proposals
- Create and deliver high quality, professional presentations to potential partners, and confidently speak about the business and food waste proposition
- Share technical food waste knowledge, data, and results to advise and partner with the Key Accounts.
Requirements
- Solid commercial experience working in the food sector. You should have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Belgian supermarkets and grocery stores.
- Account Management experience, demonstrating an ability to build rapport, establish trust, deepen relationships, and grow business
- Ability to lead negotiations skillfully, and create and deliver high impact pitches
- Communication and storytelling. You know when to speak, you know how to listen, and you know how to engage a whole room and keep their attention
- Full professional proficiency in Dutch, French and English
- Planning and project management skills to both plan and project manage effectively throughout the Key Account acquisition and retention process.
- CRM & Data Analysis knowledge to use raw data to create performance reports and projections to identify and understand trends, opportunities and issues.
