About The Position

We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our team. This position is for a senior-level welder for TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel and aluminum vacuum chambers, frames, and fixtures. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in TIG welding of stainless steel or aluminum plates. Our welders work in a clean, organized, temperature-controlled shop. Requirements

• High school diploma
• Minimum of 7 years of welding experience
• Experience in vacuum chamber welding helpful
• Experience building big parts 60" and bigger

Responsibilities

• Welding of stainless steel or aluminum plate using TIG and MIG welding techniques
• Proficient in layout skills
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine specifications for welding projects
• Performing quality checks on completed work to ensure the finished product meets specifications
• Experience with manual lathes, mills, Iron Worker, metal rolls, grinding and rolling processes, and saws a plus
• Maintaining a safe and organized work environment
• Participating in team meetings and contributing to process improvements
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high level of quality
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work with our engineering team and communicate properly
• Must have a high focus on safety and the ability to learn and follow LACO's safety standards
