About The Position

The IT Manager at R&K Enterprise Solutions will oversee all aspects of IT support for the 414th Combat Training Squadron, specifically for the RED FLAG-RESCUE exercise and other Personnel Recovery training events. This role involves managing IT coordination tasks, ensuring effective communication infrastructure, and supporting the training mission of the USAF. The position requires a strong background in DoD communications and IT management, with responsibilities spanning from planning to execution and evaluation of training exercises.

Requirements

  • Five years of DoD communications experience within the last 10 years.
  • Five years of DoD Infrastructure and USAF EUD experience within the last 10 years.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills for multi-disciplinary coordination.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Knowledge of various AFI regulations related to communications and IT management.
  • Requires USAF Communications Administrative privileges - IAT II Certification - CompTIA Security +.
  • Experience with IT operating systems including Microsoft Windows and Linux Red Hat.
  • Experience with commercial cloud environments like AWS and Windows Azure.
  • Experience with USAF COMSEC regulations and procedures.
  • Experience with USAF purchasing and procurement processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with virtualization technology in a DOD environment.
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems used by host base.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of IT within the Detachment and RF-R.
  • Assist IT/C4 Director in planning, managing, tracking, and executing IT coordination tasks for RF-R and other training events.
  • Perform C4I related tasks as assigned by the government supervisor.
  • Liaise with Points of Contact from units participating in RF-R.
  • Coordinate with Host Base agencies to provide communications support including NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and VoIP.
  • Develop and manage RF-R SharePoint sites for NIPRNet and SIPRNet.
  • Coordinate and create NIPRNet and SIPRNet accounts for personnel and participants.
  • Develop and implement a virtual office environment for staff.
  • Ensure compliance with JNTC certification requirements.
  • Monitor and manage radio and IT components during exercise execution.
  • Utilize USAF Continuous Process Improvement techniques in all JELC stages.
  • Configure and manage various communication networks and devices for exercise execution.
  • Coordinate and manage virtual exercise conference meetings.
  • Act as the COMSEC Responsible Officer for local COMSEC account.
  • Understand and manage mobile and maritime communications equipment.
  • Engineer IT/Radio communications infrastructure as needed.
  • Operate government vehicles and trailers as per AFI standards.
