About the position
As the first IT hire for ClassDojo, you will play a critical role in establishing and managing the IT function of the company. You will work closely with various teams to ensure the effective use of technology in running the business, including hardware and software management, security, and scalability. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing support to team members and contractors, managing the relationship with the Managed Service Provider, and automating IT policies. This role requires strong IT leadership experience, software automation skills, and knowledge of computer systems, security, and networking.
Responsibilities
- Establish and operate the IT function for ClassDojo
- Work closely with engineering, people operations, and security to ensure effective technology usage
- Ensure hardware and software used by the company is easy to use, secure, and scalable
- Provide support for team members and contractors
- Manage the relationship with the Managed Service Provider
- Automate IT policies and design and document policies for an all remote workforce
- Have 3+ years of IT leadership experience
- Have IT experience in a startup environment
- Have strong software automation experience using Python, Bash, or another language
- Have Apple MacOS user and management experience
- Manage Google Workspace installations
- Have experience with IT helpdesk administration
- Be comfortable with MDM implementation and administration
- Build SAML/SSO/OpenID Connect single sign-on integrations
- Perform system diagnosis to drive solutions
- Have excellent knowledge of computer systems, security, and networking
Requirements
- 3+ years of IT leadership experience (managing MSP, owning the long term goals of an area or program)
- IT experience in a startup environment
- Strong software automation experience using Python, Bash, or another language
- Apple MacOS user and management experience
- Managed Google Workspace installations
- Experience with IT helpdesk administration
- Comfortable with MDM implementation and administration
- Built SAML/SSO/OpenID Connect single sign on integrations
