About The Position

The IT Infrastructure Support Engineer L2 role is a long-term contract position within a well-known financial services company. The engineer will be responsible for operational support, monitoring, alert resolution, incident resolution, and root cause analysis across various enterprise tools. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities. The role is hybrid, allowing for work from various locations including NJ, NY, Charlotte, TX, Minnesota, Des Moines, and San Francisco.

Requirements

• 4-5 years' experience in Enterprise Tools like BigPanda, Netcool, Splunk, AppDynamics, Thousand Eyes, Grafana, Autosys, Puppet, Service Now.
• Strong experience in Operational support including Monitoring, Alert resolution, Incident resolution, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Familiarity with ITIL, Incident/Problem/Event Management, Release/Deployment, and Operational Readiness.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience leading incident triage in a large IT operations production support environment.
• Prior Technical Generalist / Major Incident Management experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to automate simple tasks using Python and Shell scripts.
• Experience in .net technologies, Windows, Linux, Oracle, Autosys, Mulesoft, Open shift is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all necessary teams are engaged and focused on their tasks.
• Be flexible and have foresight to see the need to change priorities and escalate accordingly.
• Provide support for 300 Enterprise Infrastructure Tools and Applications.
• Work extended hours and/or weekends as needed to handle high priority issues and production recoveries.
• Support monthly Integrated/Infrastructure releases.
