IT Engineer - 1 year FTC

GoodNotes is seeking an experienced IT Engineer to join their London team on a 1-year fixed term contract. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the IT infrastructure, including deploying, managing, and supporting cloud applications and services, as well as improving and enforcing internal IT processes. They will provide remote and hands-on support to staff in other offices, manage system and software updates, and research and recommend new SaaS services. The successful candidate should have experience creating IT guidelines and policies, a deep understanding of IT security best practices, and proficiency in scripting languages for task automation.

• Take ownership of the IT infrastructure
• Deploy, manage, and support cloud applications and services
• Improve, implement, document, and enforce internal IT processes for all offices
• Provide remote support and guidance to staff in other offices
• Provide hands-on support at the London office
• Manage system and software patching and updates
• Enrich, manage, monitor, and support on-premise infrastructure (networking, storage, etc)
• Provide escalation for issues that require engineering support
• Research and recommend new SaaS services
• Create clear IT guidelines, policies, and documentation
• Deep understanding of IT security best practices
• Automate tasks using scripts and tools in Python, bash, or other scripting languages
• Install and configure network devices from main vendors
• High level of networking experience, managing Fortinet Firewalls is a plus
• In-depth macOS troubleshooting skills
• Excellent understanding of Access Control and Device Management
• Excellent communication skills

• Work smart using scripts and tools in Python, bash, or other scripting languages to automate tasks
• Experience installing and configuring network devices from main vendors
• High level of networking experience, managing Fortinet Firewalls is a plus

• Excellent communication skills
