About The Position

Worldwide Express is building a next generation cloud native platform serving customers and internal users. Software engineering intern will be part of a team responsible for building and maintaining Speedship UX/UI applications to support our business needs, supporting internal and customer facing business processes.

Requirements

• UnderGrad Junior, Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program.
• Strong understanding of Angular framework and its core principles.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Basic knowledge of front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, NPM).
• Some Experience with RESTful APIs and data integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
• Passion for learning and improving technical skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Knowledge of responsive design techniques and frameworks like Bootstrap or Material Design.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jasmine or Karma.
• Basic understanding of state management libraries like NgRx or Redux.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development and QA team to develop and maintain Angular-based web applications.
• Assist in developing user-facing features, improving performance, and optimizing code for scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Angular and related technologies (TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving feedback to improve code quality.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure high-quality user experiences.
• Contribute to the enhancement of UI/UX design by collaborating with front-end designers.
• Assist in the testing, deployment, and maintenance of Angular applications.
• Stay updated with the latest Angular and front-end development trends and technologies.
