About the position
SpinLaunch is seeking an IT Associate to join their team in Long Beach, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for resolving technical challenges, maintaining and troubleshooting applications in various environments, and assisting with IT hardware inventory. Additionally, you will support system and network architecture, improve IT efficiency, and contribute to IT policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of relevant work experience, a passion for IT and customer support, and strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Interface with users, identify and resolve technical challenges, and escalate unresolved trouble tickets as appropriate
- Install, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot various applications in a Microsoft Windows, Mac, and Linux environments
- Utilize helpdesk ticket system, Spiceworks, by inputting, updating and closing tickets
- Work with Technology staff to field basic trouble tickets and service requests
- Distribute new PCs, Macs, and laptops and assist with new employee onboarding
- Assist with maintaining IT hardware inventory and inventory processes
- Plan, design, and implement special projects at the direction of IT Staff
- Assist in improving the efficiency of the IT Dept, as well as prepare documentation related to IT policies and procedures
- Assist with all aspects of system, network, data, and endpoint security mitigation and response
- Support backend system and network architecture and infrastructure
- VM Server Cluster administration
- Experience in Shell Scripting
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proactively resolved technical issues and looked for ways to help the end user
- Familiarity with computers; experience with office productivity suites and web-based applications (Microsoft Windows, MacOs, Microsoft 365)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work with people
- Analytical, structured approach to problem-solving
- Strong writing skills and a desire to diligently document common processes and procedures
