About The Position

The IT Architect - Cloud position at HDR involves working closely with the ITG Director of IT Architecture and other IT and Solution Architects to establish and maintain innovative IT architectures that align with HDR's business goals. The role requires a critical thinker with a strong background in cloud-centric technologies, particularly in IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, to design solutions that meet complex technology service needs. The architect will also advise leadership on technology roadmaps and governance programs, ensuring that cloud solutions adhere to established principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical area.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in analysis, design, implementation, and planning for technology systems.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of infrastructure technologies.
  • Experience with systems requirements gathering and execution into applicable solutions.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Broad technology experience in Infrastructure Technologies including personal computer hardware, servers, operating systems, and networking fundamentals.

Nice To Haves

  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in an Architecture and Engineering consulting business.

Responsibilities

  • Compose IT Architectures using cloud-centric technologies including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and serverless computing.
  • Create and serve in governance programs for cloud solution design.
  • Evaluate requirements and design solutions for complex technology service needs in cooperation with Corporate Technology areas.
  • Advise ITG Leadership on technology roadmap and systemic operational problems.
  • Partner with operations to build and execute transition plans for ongoing support of technology designs.
  • Serve as an advisor/consultant to other technology teams, vendors, and business units on technology projects.
