About The Position

The IT and C4 Director at R&K Enterprise Solutions is responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT and Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) operations within the Detachment and the RED FLAG-RESCUE exercise. This role involves managing a team, coordinating with various military and government entities, and ensuring effective communication and technology integration during training exercises. The position requires a strong background in DoD communications and IT infrastructure, as well as the ability to lead and train staff in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Five years of commissioned or senior non-commissioned officer DoD communications experience within the last five years.
  • Five years of DoD Infrastructure and USAF EUD experience within the last 10 years.
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills and ability to work on a multi-disciplinary level.
  • Demonstrated experience in C4I requirements analysis and management of a JNTC accredited exercise Program.
  • Extensive knowledge of various AFI regulations related to communications and information systems.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Requires USAF Communications Administrative privileges.
  • IAT II Certification - CompTIA Security +.
  • Experience with IT operating systems including Microsoft Windows, Linux Red Hat, and Android OS.
  • Experience with briefing large groups regarding IT/Radio/Datalink structure.
  • Experience with USAF COMSEC regulations and management of COMSEC equipment.
  • Experience with USAF ITEC/ADPE account processes and management.
  • Experience with USAF VCO program and procedures for government vehicles.
  • Experience with USAF purchasing and procurement processes.
  • Working knowledge of ticketing systems used by host base.
  • Experience with virtualization technology in DOD environment.
  • Experience with commercial cloud environments including AWS and Windows Azure.

  • Experience with exercise management technology.
  • Knowledge of hazardous material restrictions/limitations in communications equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all aspects of IT/C4I within the Detachment and RF-R.
  • Supervise the IT Manager and C4 Manager.
  • Perform IT/C4 related tasks as assigned by the designated government supervisor.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for all facets related to IT/C4 operations in RF-R.
  • Plan, manage, track, and execute all associated C4 coordination tasks for RF-R or other training events.
  • Assist government staff with scenario development regarding IT/C4 integration.
  • Liaise with Points of Contact from units tasked to participate/support in RF-R.
  • Coordinate with Host Base agencies to provide required exercise communications support.
  • Promote an integrated net-enabled exercise emphasizing USAF PR/CSAR requirements.
  • Develop, coordinate, and publish required IT/C4 exercise schedules and execution procedures.
  • Train staff on virtual office environment solutions.
  • Ensure Weapon System and ISR platform C4 integration.
  • Incorporate net-enabled technologies for TTPs practice.
  • Coordinate SATCOM and frequency allocation to support operations during exercises.
  • Work with C2 Manager to integrate Modeling and Simulation capabilities.
  • Ensure RF-R has a Common Operating Picture (COP) for mission planning and execution.
  • Configure and manage various communication networks and devices for exercise execution.
  • Integrate organizational tools and technologies for managing exercise assets.
  • Monitor and manage exercise execution for C4 and IT components.
  • Ensure Continuous Process Improvement techniques are utilized in all JELC stages.
  • Leverage current exercise tools and capabilities for management technology.
  • Coordinate and manage virtual exercise conference meetings.
  • Act as Primary/Alternate COMSEC Responsible Officer for local COMSEC account.
  • Understand and manage mobile and maritime communications equipment.
  • Engineer IT/Radio communications infrastructure as needed.
  • Maintain capability in loading, unloading, and securing equipment to vehicles.
  • Operate government furnished vehicles and trailers as per regulations.
